O Botafogo anunciou a chegada do atacante Kelvin nas redes sociais, após uma semana de negociações e acerto de detalhes.

Talvez tenha sido a contratação mais rejeitada dos últimos tempos no clube, quase que de forma unânime por torcedores e formadores de opinião. E olha que a concorrência é enorme nesse ranking, e talvez Kelvin nem seja a pior de todas nos últimos dez anos.

A questão vai muito além de Kelvin. Atleta esse para quem torço pelo sucesso, mesmo sendo difícil projetar algo positivo. O atacante vem de uma dispensa do Avaí há quatro meses. Aos 27 anos, Acumula lesões e apenas tem apenas cinco gols nas últimas cinco temporadas.

O atleta é apenas a raspa do gelo na ponta do intenso iceberg que é a incompetência do Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas há anos. Vai muito além do extremo. O fechamento desse negócio, acoplado ao contexto em meio a uma situação caótica em todas as esferas, representa insanidade por causa consequência.

“Se der certo é um achado. Se der errado enfim, é metade do preço do Fernando lateral direito. NÃO TEM MUITO PROBLEMA”. Essas foram as palavras do “dirigente” Ricardo Rotenberg em um áudio de WhatsApp no dia que a negociação veio à tona. No entendimento dele, a contratação baseada em scouts do zap de conhecidos é “baratíssima”.

Tal como todos os outros dez, vinte tiros no escuro que o Botafogo deu nos últimos anos. Notem como o BOTAFOGO, clube com Honda e Kalou em seu atual plantel, ainda contrata jogadores, em pleno 2020. Parece até que não assistem futebol e não conhecem quem contratam. Ou será que é isso mesmo?

Fala-se em problema financeiro, que é obviamente real. Mas muito desse problema tem, como causa, os inúmeros “não tem problema” de Rotenberg e tantos outros iguais a ele na alta cúpula do Botafogo ao longo dos últimos 30 anos. A consequência disso? O motivo para um argumento estar cada vez mais forte, denso e assustador: “o que fazer? Não temos dinheiro”. Percebem o ciclo vicioso?

Vejamos o atual cenário: o CT, que nem ideia dos cardeais foi, longe de chegar; estrutura precária; dívida bilionária e um dos maiores débitos trabalhistas do país. A captação de receita é mísera pois, além da marca deteriorada, a incompetência na captação de recursos agrava ainda mais.

Restam pouquíssimas fontes nesse rio seco, tal como o do SÓCIO-TORCEDOR, tão pedido e aclamado pelos mesmo dirigentes para “salvar o clube”, argumento utilizado ao invés de apresentar produtos viáveis aos apoiadores. Mas para onde ele vai, além de pagar dívidas impossíveis de se adiar e “não responder”, como fizeram com o atacante Érik?

Investimento em profissionalização do futebol?Base? Instalações de software mais adequadas? Melhores condições de treino? Estrutura? Nada disso. Tudo destina-se para apostas “baratíssimas, que, se derem errado, não tem muito problema”. A dimensão do problema parte de quem sofre. Seja de bolso, pagando a mensalidade, ou de coração, por motivos óbvios.

Toda essa volta ultrapassa muito o personagem Kelvin. Que espero que se tire forças dessa rejeição para se entusiasmar. Mas os 100 mil reais gastos em um atleta que acumula decepções desde 2015, poderiam muito bem servir para o aluguel de um CT provisório, a reforma de um departamento fundamental, ou na soma de um planejamento que deveria ter acontecido lá no início do ano: ao invés de contratar sete jogadores com o argumento de que “não tem problema”, buscassem dois que resolvessem, de fato, os problemas. Isso vem muito antes de Kelvin, o quase xará Kevin, Lecaros, Ruan Renato, Barrandeguy. Zarate e Escalada que o digam.

Ao jogador Kelvin: boa sorte. Só desejo isso. Seu sucesso é o de todos nós. Precisamos parar de atacar somente a consequência do problema, e focar na causa.de tudo isso. Espero que entenda que a rejeição vai muito além do seu CPF, seus números e baixas. É uma consequência do que causam todos os CPFs da nossa alta cúpula ao CNPJ que mais amamos, localizado na Rua Venceslau Brás, número 72. O qual eles acreditam ser somente deles, os “grandes beneméritos” e “conselheiros”. Mal sabem que esse facho de luz vai muito além do endereço, a se espalhar por 4 milhões de corações guiados por uma estrela.

Embora eu ache difícil, desejo que você se torne mais um a sentir essa energia. Algo bem diferente do que os amadores são capazes de entender. Tal como essa crítica, da qual o exemplo é apenas um gancho para o que ocorre há décadas no Botafogo. Algo que vai muito além do Kelvin.
